All are Welcome

You’re invited to come just as you are. You’ll see folks wearing everything from jeans to shorts and flip-flops to a suit, so you will fit in no matter what.

When you visit, there will be several people wearing pins that say either Elder or Deacon. They can help you with any questions you may have. You are also invited to talk to the pastor either before or after worship.

Contact the church office at 937-653-4225 or firstprezurbanaohio@gmail.com for any questions you may have.

Worship & Sermon

Our typical weekly worship services have a traditional format with some modern components. We sing hymns and songs written throughout the history of the Church, including ancient and contemporary music. Our organist/pianist accompanies us as we sing our faith, and our choir adds to the beauty of our worship through various anthems and responses. On the first Sunday of the month, all are welcome to receive communion.

At First Presbyterian Church, we strive to communicate the good news of Christ in meaningful ways. Each sermon is based on a passage from the Old or New Testament and interpreted in a way that is encouraging to listeners and relevant to present-day concerns. A typical message is approximately 15 minutes.

Nursery & Youth Worship

For children 4 and younger, we have childcare available in our nursery area beginning at 9:30 am. (Just follow the signs when you come through the west entrance.) We have Sunday School classes for children 5 and up from 9:30 – 10:20. Sunday school is not offered during Summer Worship.

Middle School and High School students are invited to participate fully in our regular worship services.
